Nice little get a way

We made it back safe and sound from our nice spring break. It was so nice to see you all and spend some time with you at home. We are looking forward to some more fun times this summer.
This weekend we decided to take a little get a way to a town about an hour and a half away called Mazimitla. Its this quaint town in the mountains with lots of old cabins. We went with Shawn’s old room mate Hamsah and his girlfriend Angelica. We stayed at this cabin resort called Monteverde and it was cool. We also walked around the center ate at some restaurant and rode horses to a waterfall that was the coolest part. Jace came along for the ride too and I think he really enjoyed it. It was so pleasant up there the weather is perfect and cools down in the evening. Its getting hot here every day its been around 83-85 degrees and the sun is shining away. I cant complain its nice but I don’t mind the cool either ;) Well all hope things are good. We are getting really excited for someone to come visit so start saving your pennies there is a lot of fun down our way! Talk to you all again soon.

Spring Break

We were able to come home for two weeks and it’s been so much fun. We have split the time in St. George and Salt Lake with the families. It was so nice in St George. Our Friends Jon and Suzette Baird came down part of the time and we went to Las Vegas and stayed at the Mandalay Bay one night it was a blast. We had a nice Easter with the Rowlands. Shawn had a great time there and he found a hot spot and invested in a few pair of cowboy boots and has decided we need to get a ranch and some horses. We are currently in Salt Lake and have been just relaxing and spending some time at the hospital to see Grandma Larsen who had heart surgery and is doing great.

Man what a fun time we have had lately! I wanted to fill you in on the latest in Mexico. We have done a few fun activities and enjoyed a lot of fun times with our Friends. We went to a Chivas soccer game one night with Hamzah and Angelica. We have been having a lot of fun playing tennis with them and going out to dinners. We also have enjoyed a lot of fun times with the Curtis family... dinners and the forrest. My good friend Maricela who is Mexican has been teaching me how to cook traditional Mexican food and we have enjoyed a few shopping trips around the area. Life is good its been busy with Shawn’s school and my teaching. We are looking forward to coming home and spending time with you all!!!! See you soon.

Valentines.....

What a nice day we had for our first Valentines as a married ones. This is Jace enjoying it with us too :)
Since it was on a Sunday we decided to celebrate on Saturday. I Surprised Shawn with a picture collage in our bedroom and he in turn surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a cook book that will teach me how to make real authentic Mexican food and the history behind the dishes and ingredients-its so cool! He also made me a delicious waffle breakfast. To top it all off the package my mom sent us finally got to us with lots of goodies in it!!!!
We went and played tennis watched a movie and enjoyed some little cesears pizza-it was a great day and what a touch of home to top it off.
The next day was very pleasant- real Valentines. Church was nice we came home and I made chicken marsala and we took a nice sunday nap. I am grateful for Shawn and his love. I also am grateful for all our family and friends too- we love you! Thats our Valentines in a nutshell. All you need is Love......Post more soon.

Los Cabos

What a weekend we had! We decided to take a nice little getaway and enjoy some sunshine and the beach and also a little celebration for Shawn’s passing step one!. The regional flights are really cheap once you get down here and you can always count on good old priceline :)
We stayed at the Pueblo Bonito resort it was incredibly beautiful. It;s on the pacific ocean and sits up on a cliff side. It was about 10 minutes away from town so it was a little more tranquil. There were a lot of great restaurants, some nice pools, and we were carted around on these safari golf cart things, it was pretty funny! We went to a lot of great restaurants-the food was really good. We went horseback riding one evening on the beach, and the next day, whale watching. That was one of the most amazing things we have ever done! They are graceful animals and were not shy at all. They would come up to the surface and splash their fins and tails. We even got to see them breach all the way out of the water.
The people there are so happy and very friendly. It was nice to hear english again, most of the people spoke it very well being the tourist area it is. We loved it so much and would recommend it to anyone. So here it is now......go enjoy the show!
